US Open, Novak Djokovic does not despair: “No permit? It won’t be the end of the world.”
We all know what happened in January when we flew to Australia to watch the Australian Open. We all want to avoid the same thing happening again.
His attendance in Flushing Meadows is a matter of personal preference, and he will be there as long as the tournament permits it “Unlike what happened in Australia, Djokovic told La Gazzetta dello Sport that he will not travel to the United States unless he has permission to do so.
The situation in Australia was quite upsetting. A lot of people may think that I pushed things by attempting to enter Australia without the proper documentation, but that was established in court.
I’ll go to New York if I can get permission, but if not, it’s not the end of the world “For further information, please see the following link:
“I’m not interested in politics,” Djokovic said. “I’m a tennis player.”
The current world No. 7 – the reigning Wimbledon champion for the fourth time in a row – proceeded to speak out on the matter, avoiding any political discussion: “I would never travel to a new country without the right documentation.
It was the same in Australia, where I had a vaccination exemption and a permit. Many others with the same paperwork landed in Australia before me in the ten days prior to mine with no issues.
We do, however, know what occurred to me instead. The Australian Open is my favorite Slam, and I’d love to return in January to compete. New York City and the United States are places I’d like to travel to.
As a tennis player who doesn’t care about politics or anything else, my goal is to visit every country where I can play the sport. My views are my own, and I stand by them. I hold everyone and everything in high regard and want that others do the same in return.
“If I obtain permission, I’ll travel to New York; if not, it won’t be the end of the world. There are a lot of opportunities for me ahead of me while I’m still young and playing for a long time “the tennis player said.
