João Sousa will no longer play doubles in Gstaad

After losing in the first round of the singles competition at the ATP 250 Gstaad, in Switzerland, Joo Sousa decided not to continue playing in the tournament.

The 33-year-old was supposed to compete with Benoit Paire, but the Frenchman withdrew hours before the match after falling behind 6-2, 2-0 to Elias Ymer of Sweden in the singles competition.

This week, Sousa will travel to Kitzbuhel, Austria, where he has already qualified for the singles finals.

Francisco Cabral, a Portuguese doubles player, will compete with Tomislav Brkic of Bosnia on Wednesday in the first round of the Gstaad tournament.

Hello, I'm Antonio Zaccaro, tennis lover since I was 13. I started this blog out of pure passion, and now it has become my job. I constantly follow all the tournaments and I am always updated on all the news. What I know, I share with all my readers. My considerations are the result of hours and hours spent in front of screens and on tennis courts.
