Williams, Serena, “officially registers” to play in the US Open

The US Open entry list was released on Wednesday, and Serena Williams’ name appears there, so the American tennis player has confirmed she will be competing in this year’s tournament. Williams, now 40 years old, will be making her 22nd appearance at the US Open, having made her first appearance back in 1998.

Both the men’s and women’s entry lists for the 2022 US Open are provided below.

Williams was knocked out in the third round in her US Open debut.
