Duarte Vale and Martim Prata champions in Idanha-a-Nova

The doubles draw of the second of two ITF M25s in Idanha-a-Nova, held in the country’s central region this week, concluded this past Saturday, and the winning team consisted of Duarte Vale and Martim Prata, both of whom have been in fine form on the American college circuit.

The 23-year-olds and 22-year-olds won their first title on the international circuit after defeating Pedro Arajo and Jaime Faria, also from Portugal, 6-3 and 6-4 in a final that was entirely Portuguese.

On Saturday, Vale was eliminated in the semi-finals of the singles competition despite being the best Portuguese player in the tournament.
