Goran Ivanisevic respects Novak Djokovic’s choice on vaccine
In all likelihood, Novak Djokovic will be unable to compete in the 2022 U.S. Open. In addition to not having gotten the Coronavirus vaccine, the Serbian tennis star also stated categorically that he has no plans to get the two-shot series.
Similarly, the former ATP No. 1 missed the spring tournaments in Australia and the United States for the same reason (Indian Wells and Miami). Despite his loss at Roland Garros, the 35-year-old Serb redeemed himself by winning his seventh title at the Championships.
Thanks to his fourth consecutive seal in London, Nole shortened the gap separating him from Rafael Nadal in the all-time Slam rankings. The US Open, however, will provide the Spaniard with an opportunity to flex his muscles again for the first time since 2019.
Since the Serb has no intention of competing in low-level tournaments just to rack up ranking points, the ‘Djoker”s schedule is shrouded in mystery. When asked about Novak’s decision not to get vaccinated, Goran Ivanisevic defended his stance in an interview with Tennis365.
To which Ivanisevic responds in defense of Djokovic
“Novak Djokovic‘s bravery and the sincerity of his decision inspire me. He has no plans to return home “- Ivanisevic remarked. “The media has falsely portrayed him as a leader of the no-vax movement and a negative influence on others.
He is against getting the Coronavirus vaccine, but he has never recommended that others follow his lead. Regardless of his choice, it has my full support “- Goran emphasized again. Ramesh Takur brought up Djokovic‘s resounding banishment from Australia again in a recent interview: “Because Nole would testify to the ineffectiveness of these vaccines, he was expelled from Australia, not because he posed a health risk to others.
The government was worried that Djokovic, who had been infected with swine flu twice but had not been vaccinated, would play in the Australian Open and win his 21st Slam title in Melbourne without getting a shot. When people stopped having faith in anti-Covid vaccines, the rising level of terror stopped.”
