To earn the 2023 Road team’s inaugural victory, Texas Christian University defeated Tulsa 6-1 inside the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. For the third time in the previous four years, the Horned Frogs finished the season 3-0. The men’s team won fields two and three to earn double points, according to the TCU website.
The Horned Frogs then put forth a commanding performance in singles, winning the first four matches while dropping just one game. David Roditi, the head coach, explained: “Our first away victory of the year was a nice one. Always a challenging game, Tulsa.
We’ve been playing each other for a very long period, and during that time, they frequently defeated us and frequently hit us here in Tulsa. The boys were equipped. Me too, I’m happy. I’m pleased with our group. They had prepared. They were prepared for combat. In doubles, we performed incredibly well.
In doubles, Luc Fomba and Jake Fearnley performed admirably, as did our third-ranked doubles duo. We were able to win the most of the close first sets in singles in order to put pressure on Tulsa. After that, we went on.
Since the season is only getting started, there is always space for improvement. Overall, I was extremely pleased with our performance, albeit there are some instances where we can play better. We must now return home and prepare for the game to begin.
It will be difficult. The city receives three top-notch teams. On the first day, we get ready for Gonzaga, and then we wait and see what happens. Hurry up, frogs.”
