Novak Djokovic praises Andy Murray for his bravery: Must awe and exclaim “bravo”

Andy Murray‘s heroics in 2023 have been recognised by the world’s top player, Novak Djokovic, who also acknowledges how wonderful the Briton’s performance has been so far. Matteo Berrettini, a finalist at Wimbledon in 2021, was defeated by Andy Murray in the opening round of the Australian Open after saving a match point.

In his following match at Melbourne Park, Murray overcame a two-set deficit to defeat Tjhanasi Kokkinakis in a nearly six-hour match. In his first-round match against Lorenzo Sonego last week in Qatar, Murray defeated the Italian by fending off three match points.

In the Doha quarterfinal, Murray defeated Jiri Lehecka by saving five set points to advance to his first final since 2023. According to Tennis Today, Djokovic stated, “What is happening now this year with his match points saved in practically every match he plays, the number of hours he spent on the court since the beginning of the year, particularly in Australia, is just something you must appreciate and say “chapeau.”

Djokovic was mentioned by Murray in Doha.

After defeating Lehecka to advance to his first 2023 season final, Murray highlighted Djokovic and discussed the mental benefit that comes from preserving set points.

Someone like Novak has overcome extremely trying circumstances, and it certainly seems like players give it some thought as they near the finish line. After winning his Doha semifinal match, Murray stated, “That’s something I’m feeling a little bit right now.

Djokovic is competing this week in Dubai while Murray decided to skip the competition. Djokovic went home after winning the Australian Open to recover from a hamstring issue. Djokovic gave a very encouraging injury update last week and said he intended to play again in Dubai.

Djokovic is a five-time champion in Dubai and is the heavy favorite to win the tournament this week.
